Driving a high powered front wheel drive VW or Audi can be frustrating with the stock open differential. The stock piece primarily sends your power to one wheel, which will fight for traction. If you auto-cross or road race a limited slip differential is essential to be competetive. It also drastically changes your driving experience on the street, reducing torque steer and allowing you to power out of corners you otherwise wouldn't have been able to. Gary Peloquin started developing these upgraded differentials in 1997 after 30 years of rebuilding/repairing transaxles for VW dealerships and his own business. Let all of that experience work for you by using this differential in your car.
An open differential shifts power to the wheel with the least resistance (the one with less grip). The Peloquin does the complete opposite and senses which wheel has the better grip and applies the power to that wheel. This happens smoothly and constantly and without ever completely removing power from either wheel.
This differential comes with a special ARP bolt kit and bearings.
