Organize Your Engine Bay!
Eliminate T-fittings, mismatched tubing, funny hose clamps, and weird reducers for good with a vacuum manifold from 42 Draft Designs. The concept is simple: one major vacuum source feeds a distribution manifold capable of supplying vacuum to any accessory. Couple that simplicity with a centralized tubing route and you've just re-organized your engine bay like a pro race team.
Designed for universal installation, our 6-port vacuum manifold features six NPT threaded inlets and outlets. Integrated mounting brackets allow for installation on any flat surface. Nearly any NPT threaded fittings can be used, allowing connection to any type of tubing. No matter what’s under your hood, our vacuum manifold is capable of sorting out your vacuum lines.
Universal part that must be retro-fitted to meet your application.
How It’s Made
42 Draft Designs’ vacuum manifolds are 100% CNC machined from 6061 aluminum. Every side of our manifold is machined flat and precise. Every edge and every corner is rounded-over. Ports are drilled, tapped to equal depths and chamfered.
We may be taking the craftsmanship a bit too far with this simple part, but meticulous is all we know. Straight off the machines our vacuum manifolds shine. Wrinkle black power coat is available for those who prefer an understated look.
Our 6-port manifold features two 1/4” NPT ports on the sides and four 1/8” NPT ports on the bottom. In simple terms, we refer to the larger ports as inlets and the smaller ports as outlets. This manifold may be installed with a single reference from the intake manifold using one of the larger ports. It can also be installed inline by plumbing a major vacuum source through the manifold. Any standard 1/8” and 1/4” NPT fittings can be used.
Mounting is simple and universal. Our 6-port manifold is designed to bolt to a flat surface such as the firewall, battery box, or engine cover. Stainless steel mounting hardware and rubber washers are included. The manifold measures 3.875” wide, .875” square, and 1.3125” tall overall. The mounting holes are spaced 2” apart.
The concept of a vacuum manifold may be old news, but in our eyes efficiency never goes out of style. Any engine bay equipped with a mess of vacuum lines can be cleaned up with a vacuum manifold. See the Fitment tab above for some detailed examples.
Tubing and fitting choices are incredibly flexible and can be changed at any time. Nearly any 1/8” or 1/4” NPT male threaded fittings can be used. Common types include barb fittings, compression fittings, AN fittings, and push-in fittings.
Past experience has taught us that everyone’s project differs greatly, so we ditched the tubing and fittings previously included. We now offer a wide selection of tubing, fittings and accessories to complete your vacuum manifold installation.
