Maximum Transmission Torque Capacity (Clutch Pressure/Current)
To minimize clutch slip and protect the factory clutches from excessive wear, we have increased the transmission’s torque capacity to its physical limits. Clutch slip, which can occur during gear shifts or transient responses, is particularly common in high-powered vehicles with substantial grip and can lead to clutch damage. Our upgrade dynamically adjusts clutch pressure to prevent unnecessary strain; it only increases pressure as needed, rather than running at maximum allowable levels continuously.
Optimized Wide Open Throttle Shift Points
The factory wide open throttle (WOT) shift points are calibrated for the stock vehicle output. However, with tuning, these shift points can be optimized to improve acceleration. The supercharged 3.0T engine reaches peak power roughly 1,000 RPM higher than the factory shift points. To maximize performance, we recommend using our ECU and TCU upgrades together, with tailored maps for both stock and upgraded pulleys, including ultracharger setups.
Optimized Shift Strategies
Our TCU upgrade fine-tunes the transmission’s shifting behavior based on the vehicle’s driving mode, whether you’re braking, accelerating, or shifting under different torque loads.
